Cozy Up!
Written by Amelia MularzRight now I’m sitting in a pile of boxes trying to find a pair of socks. I just moved into a new apartment and I’m facing the consequences for my hurried packing. Fortunately I was organized enough to label a box “tchotchkes” so I’ll be able to quickly locate my miniature model of the Eiffel Tower. But my clothes? Not so easy. Socks aside, what I really want after a day spent schlepping all my worldy belongings is a big cozy sweater to curl up in for the afternoon. Because my box mound is just too daunting, I’ve turned to the web. Take a look at some seriously cozy knitwear. Then this weekend, let’s all just take it easy.
Nestle & Nuzzle Cardi, $128, Anthropologie.comThe name says it all. I think ponchos were just made for lounging.
Robert Rodriguez Drawstring Cashmere Pullover, $319, Nordstrom.comSure it’s a little pricey, but it’s cashmere people! Plus, I imagine this being my requisite Saturday afternoon uniform, so it’d be a wise investment.
Chenille Boatneck Sweater, $48, VictoriasSecret.comLike a sweater made from your favorite throw…but so much more fashionable than a Snuggie.
Chunky Knit Sweater by Alberto Makali, $121, eDressMe.comThere are only two places where I can think about the word “chunky” and I’m happy — my ice cream and my sweaters. This thick knit looks nice and toasty.
Alfani Three Quarter Sleeve Ribbed Tunic, $69, Macys.comI love the versatility of a tunic. Once you’ve caught up on your R&R, add some leggings and heels and you’re ready to go.
Do you have a go-to sweater for just lounging around?

My husband gave me a sweater that I gave him years ago. I washed it and it and it became my size. I love to put it on when I read, or drink tea, or feel sad. But the best thing are my socks that I love. Sure they have a hole in them and I should sew them, but they bring me comfort. Isn't it strange how simple things bring us the most pleasure.
