Stop your Halloween makeup from messing up your skin!
Written by Amelia Mularz
I’ve always been a fan of Halloween. It’s the only day when all beauty logic goes out the window and you’re actually encouraged to look…well, dead. Black lipstick? Bring it on. White face powder? Absolutely. I’ve even been known to rock the quintessential look of ghouls from centuries past — vampire fangs (hey, they’re vintage!). But no matter what I do on the 31st, I always keep in mind that eventually I will have to reenter the land of the living. That’s why I’ve gathered some of my favorite heavy duty cleansing products. If you’re like me and love to go all out for Halloween, these goodies will keep you from looking like a zombie long after the last kernel of candy corn has been gobbled up.For Eyes: Physicians Formula Organic Wear Eye Makeup Remover Pads, $8
These pads are 100% organic, yet they’re strong enough to handle even the heaviest black eyeliner application. Thinking of masquerading as Lady Gaga this year? Keep these on hand.
For Face: Bliss Steep Clean Deep Pore Cleanser, $32
Because vampires are all the rage lately, there’s a good chance you may be sporting some heavy-duty powders and creams to lighten up those cheeks. Keep your pores clog-free with this deep cleanser.
For Hair: Kanebo Sensai Collection Deep Cleansing Shampoo, $30
After you’ve successfully created your very own Kate Gosselin porcupine bob, give your scalp a deep cleaning with this shampoo made from Japanese herbal extract.

The eye-makeup remover pads: are they oily? I have the hardest time finding good eye makeup pads- either they are super oily and hurt my eyes or they are "oil free" and dry out my skin. Is there an in between??!! (I have found almay to the be the best so far, but the oil free does dry out my skin)

My favorite eye makeup remover is Vaseline! Not only does it take it off easily, it makes your eyelashes look thicker and longer!

I actually painted my face neon pink this Halloween! I took the paint off with SkinCeuticals gentle cream cleanser. I don't really use eye makeup remover but when I do I like the Boots No7 eye makeup remover from Target. It's cheap and it works really well without leaving my eyes feeling oily. Face Doctorette
